Westgate Free Will Baptist Church is extremely blessed to have great men serving on our deacon board. 

Chairman of Deacons is Brother Ernest Shook.

Brother Ernest is ninty two years old and has been serving as a deacon at Westgate for over fifty years. He is truly an inspiration for all who know him. Even at ninty two years old he still has a desire to do more for his church , but more importantly for his God.

Brother Ladson "Shorty" Smith serves as a deacon at Westgate. He has been on the board for several years. He is greatly involved in the leadership at Westgate. Shorty has a heart for reaching people. He currently oversees our CD outreach program and is in charge of distrubuting over ONE THOUSAND (1000) CDs every month.

Brother Bobby Laws serves as a deacon at Westgate. He oversees our Building and Grounds team. Brother Bobby has been a tremendous blessing since joining Westgate. He was instrumental in the building of our Family Life Center and he is always building or fixing something around the church.

Brother Joey Norris serves as a deacon at Westgate. He is a silent leader. Brother Joey leads by example and not by words. Brother Joey really helps with anything that is going on at the church. He is very involved in helping with our youth department and our senior department.

We are very thankful for these men that God has chosen as deacons, and as our church continues to grow we will continue to need Biblically qualified men to serve as deacons. Help us pray that God will lead us as we look to add more deacons to our board.
